Description

The Burgundy red is delightful, fruity, soft in the mouth and easy to drink with very charming and expressive aromas (strawberry and cherry).
Vinification

The grapes are hand-picked, then sorted, crushed. The fermentation is quickly started, maceration lasts about 12-14 days, with the cap punched frequently. No enzymes of any kind are used to extract colour artificially. The free-run wine and first press are blended. The wine will mature in barrels and “foudres” (large wooden barrels). The wine is bottled after 10- 12 months without being racked but after a light filtration.

Suggested Food Pairings

‘The first pinot noir from France that really wowed us. Really compared nicely to the pinots from Willamette. Crystal clear garnet color, medium bodied. Great spice and good tannins. Flavors of strawberry and some earth. Nice jamminess.’
